UFES Project Update – August 13, 2021

Phase 3 and Pipeline Work for the Clean Water Program’s UFES Project Progressing

The City’s contractors continue to make steady progress on Phase 3 construction of the UFES project at the Event Center site. Over 80 percent of the work related to excavation of the soil inside the shoring system is complete, and is expected to be 100 percent complete this summer. Increased truck traffic will continue to and from South Delaware Street. Approved work hours at the Event Center site are between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Pipeline installation work continues along Saratoga Drive, and similar work is expected to begin along South Delaware Street within the next several months. Approved work hours for work along Saratoga Drive are between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Traffic control measures remain in place. Signs are placed in specific areas to provide direction and ensure the safety of drivers.
