UFES Project Update – March 25, 2022

UFES Project Reaches New Milestones

The UFES project continues to reach important construction milestones: Phase 4, which included foundation pile drilling and installation at the San Mateo County Event Center Site, is complete.

Phase 5 is now well underway, and includes installation of the concrete base, walls, columns, beams, and top slab of the UFES structure at the San Mateo County Event Center site.

As of March 23, 2022, over 2,500 cubic yards of concrete have been poured in the excavation at the Event Center Site. Mechanical and electrical equipment and the new electrical building will be installed as part of Phase 5 as well.

Approved work hours at the Event Center site are between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Increased truck traffic will continue to and from South Delaware Street.

Pipeline installation work continues along Saratoga Drive and is now underway along South Delaware Street. Approved work hours along South Delaware Street are between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Approved work hours for Saratoga Drive are between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Traffic control measures remain in place. Signs are placed in specific areas to provide direction and ensure the safety of drivers.
