UFES Work Hour Update – April 21, 2022

Multiple Work Hour Updates for the Week of April 25, 2022

Off-hours work for four separate construction activities related to the UFES project has been approved by the City of San Mateo for the week of April 25, 2022.

San Mateo County Event Center Site; April 25, 2022; 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.: Work will include a concrete pour at the Event Center Site. While we expect the main pouring activities will conclude before 7 p.m., finishing activities could extend into the evening. Nearby residents may experience additional truck traffic on this day before, during, and after the regular approved hours of 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. During this work, residents can expect some short-term inconveniences such as loud noise.

Saratoga Drive; April 25 – 29, 2022; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.: The City’s contractor will be installing equipment at 3 locations along Saratoga Drive in preparation for pipeline work scheduled for May. The additional work hours this week will ensure that the installation is complete prior to the time-sensitive pipeline work. No additional noise, dust, or vibration impacts are expected from this work. Signs will be posted if this work results in additional traffic pattern changes.

S. Delaware Street; April 26 – 28; 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.: The City’s contractor will be installing equipment at the intersection of S. Delaware Street and 25th Avenue to prepare for future pipeline work. This work has been scheduled overnight to minimize the impact on daytime vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic. While we expect the majority of this work to be complete by April 27, activity may continue through the morning of April 28. Nearby residents can expect some short-term inconveniences such as loud noise and possible vibration. Due to the nature of the work, vehicular and pedestrian traffic may be halted occasionally during these hours to ensure public safety.

San Mateo County Event Center Site; April 26, 2022; 3 a.m.

Please note, routine approved work hours are as follows: Saratoga Drive, 7 a.m. through 5 p.m.; S. Delaware Street, 8 a.m. through 5 p.m.; Event Center Site, 7 a.m. through 7 p.m.

We thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we make steady progress towards the completion of our sewer system improvements.
